i never get the whole idea of a music icon. or musicians that inspire other musicians to do music to begin with. music has always been a tool that i love so much and use regularly. there are no definite meaning to a song. they were always a string of beautiful journeys i can pick to be in whenever wherever however i want :)
but miss brandi carlile. she’s now the first ever that made me thought, hey i would love to be the musician that inspired by a musician. the whole music icon kinda made sense a little. a tool transformed into a thing. irregular. momentarily. no pickings. just jumpings. and a meaning for me and only me alone.
in my case, a storyteller might be more fitting perhaps.
